Institute for the investigation of Communist crimes and the memory of the Romanian Exile (IICCMER) held between 2 November 2015-2016 14 March a contest of projects about the history of Romanian communism, addressed to all natural and legal persons, irrespective of citizenship or nationality.

Through this competition, IICCMER aims to fund a number of up to three projects, each worth up to 5000 euros. Applicants can apply a variety of proposals as well as research projects, educational events, conferences, debates, round tables, exhibitions or other artistic projects.

The public is encouraged to choose a target, and the application must contain a budget required for implementing the project, broken down by all kinds of expenses. Where there are other partnerships to implement projects, they must be specified in the application.

The participation in the contest shall contain:

  1. For individuals: a copy of the identity card; 
    For legal persons: a copy of the legal basis under which it operates;
  2. Curriculum Vitae;
  3. Model completed project proposal.

If a participant wishes to enroll in the competition many projects, it must submit a dossier for each of them. A participant may enroll in a maximum of 3 projects contest. The contest may be submitted to the IICCMER headquarters in Bucharest, Str. Alecu Russo nr. 13-19, et. 5, ap. 11, sector 2, during the period from 2 November 2015-2016 1 March, and accompanied by a notice electronically at the following address office@www.iiccmer.ro, which the application to notify the sending by courier or mail.

The selection of projects will be based on criteria such as the relevance of the project towards the objectives of the IICCMER, qualifications and experience of the project coordinators, timeliness of project implementation, the quality of the project etc.

Applications will be assessed by IICCMER experts, and the results will be announced on the IICCMER website no later than 14 March 2016.
