The second edition of the IICCR summer school on the subject of communism
In the interval 25 June – 3 July 2009, The Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes, in collaboration with The Memorial of Anti-Communist Resistance in Ţara Făgăraşului and The “Negru Vodă” Foundation, organized in Făgăraş-Sâmbăta de Sus (Braşov County) the second edition of the summer school on the subject of communism. This year’s edition was attended by 16 students, winners of the essay and graphic arts contest entitled “1989, The Gate to Liberty?”. The contest was initiated and organized by the IICCR as well.
The first summer school organized by IICCR on the subject of communism
In the interval 27 June – 4 July 2008, The Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes, in collaboration with The Memorial of Anti-Communist Resistance in Ţara Făgăraşului and The “Negru Vodă” Foundation, organized in Făgăraş-Sâmbăta de Sus (Braşov County) the first edition of a summer school on the subject of communism. As part of the IICCR’s educational projects, the main purpose of the summer school is to offer students a better knowledge of the Romanian communist period (1944-1989).
