The Executive President of the Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes and Memory of the Romanian Exile, Mr. Radu Preda, together with the President of the IICCMER Scientific Council, Mr. Dinu Zamfirescu, met on Wednesday, April 16th, with the Director of the National Institute for the Study of Totalitarianism, Mr. Radu Ciuceanu, to explore the possibilities of collaboration on the eve of marking 25 years from the fall of the communist regime. The discussions emphasized the need to create a joint platform dedicated to the study of totalitarianism, with the support of all public and private institutions activating in this field. IICCMER aims to federate the memories related to the recent past, so that, aside from the political and ideological options, the memory of communism remains coherent and credible for future generations.
