IICCMER is partner in the organization of this year’s ASTRA Summer School, which will take place in Râșnov during August 1st – 10th, 2014, at the VIth edition of the History Film Festival.
The main topics of the Summer School and of the Festival are “The Great War” and “1989 – Did it happen or not?”.
15 students passionate about history will take part in the ASTRA Summer School. They will have free access to lectures and workshops, will meet up with historians and participate in all the festival events.
In order to qualify, those interested must send a CV and a short essay on the topic “A day of my life in 2014 Romania, led by Nicolae Ceauşescu” at firstname.lastname@example.org until June 30th, 2014. Participants must be aged 18-26 and speak English on a medium or advanced level.

The cost of meals and accommodation at the Summer School will be covered by the organizers.
The festival is organized by Râşnov City Hall, the European Institute of Cultural Routes and the Mioritics Association, in partnership with the Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes and Memory of the Romanian Exile, the Romanian Institute of Recent History and the Calea Victoriei Foundation.
