The Institute for the Investigation of Communist Crimes and the Memory of the Romanian Exile (IICCMER) announced the launch of its Volunteer and Mentorship Program for the Youth, organized during April – August 2016. The first module will have a duration of three months, after which new sessions will be organized

If you are under 26 years old and want to get involved in projects that can expand minds and change mentalities, we welcome your resume, together with the application form, at voluntar@www.iiccmer.ro by April 30, 2016.

If you are among the 5 selected persons for our program, you will play a major part in the development of IICCMER and we will provide valuable resources for your own. Depending on our needs and your options, you will be able to become part of the various specialized structures within our organization. The work program will be of approximately 10 hours per week and your activities will consist of involvement in organizing events, concepts for promo campaigns, providing support for research, drafting texts, archiving, updating website content, photocopying, etc. You will benefit from logistic support, access to the library and the Institute’s databases.

You will have permanent guidance from a coordinator and the chance of improving your communication, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as the actual possibility of understanding the role of IICCMER in preserving the memory of the communist regime.
