The documentary tells the story of a violent action which took place during 1949-1951 in Piteşti prison, leading to the physical and psychic torture of hundreds of students.
The film presents the testimonies of eight survivors who talk about the phases the were forced to pass through in one the most inhumane repressive action in recent history. Directed by Nicolae Mărgineanu after a screenplay by Alin Mureșan, the film is a collaboration between IICCMER – the Konrad Adenauer Romania Foundation – the Arsenie Boca Foundation .
“The Exposure” is part of a larger project whihc includes the online platform www.FenomenulPitesti.ro and the volume “Pitești. The Chronicle of an Assisted Suicide” [Cronica unei sinucideri asistate] by Alin Mureșan.
